October Projects
Scientific Illustrations
Illustrating complex information for the masses is not something new to me, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t always come with its challenges. Back in 2011, I illustrated graphs for the Medical department at the University of Wollongong. Talk about complex information.
Now, I’m trying to illustrate the idea of the effects of marijuana on the brain through the presynaptic and postsynaptic neurons. Going into it, I had no idea what these synapses were. So, to tackle this, not only did I sit down with the curator of the information, but also did my own independent research. My first draft (above) was met with positive feedback and confirmation that I am heading in a decent direction. I’m excited to explore it more.
UX Design
Still working in designing an app aimed at health and wellness. Now that the internal UX designer has returned, I’ve learned so much. We’re still moving forward with my design, but it’s nice to have someone to bounce ideas and issues off of.
3D Rendering
A bit on the back burner because of sprints, but Im still picking away at learning the ins and outs of Blender.
